Here at Staggerin we have many years of fancy dress experience – and not just as a business, we all love a good party as well! Coupled with our friendly and helpful attitude this makes our staff the perfect people to turn to for advice about any aspect of fancy dress. We all have excellent knowledge of our products and are full of ideas if you are struggling for inspiration!

If you live locally to one of our shops the best way to get in touch is to visit us at the shop. We always enjoy meeting our customers and its great fun spending time with someone and helping them choose the perfect costume. 

If you can’t make it to see us in person then there are other ways you can contact us. You can order products directly from our website but if you have any queries about your purchase or cant find what you are looking for then either click on the Contact Us” button on the left hand bar or send us an email to sales@staggerin.com. This way, we can send you links which take you directly to our suggested costumes (which is a lot easier than trying to describe things over the phone!).
Our team is geared to answer emails as soon as they come in, so provided you mail during working hours you are likely to receive a same-day response.

You can also call one of our stores direct to see if we have something in stock by choosing the relevant option when calling the above number. Please note that the lines get busy and you may have to leave a message. We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

Payment methods
In-Store: Within our retail stores we can, in addition to cash and cheques, accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Visa Delta, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron and Solo. We also accept American Express.

On-line: Payment can be made on-line via our secure server. We work hard to protect the security of your information during transmission and our site uses the strongest commercially available level of encryption: 128-bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL). This ensures that your transactions are secure and your information cannot be hi-jacked or redirected to anyone other than Staggerin’. As you enter the checkout section of our site the padlock symbol in the bottom-right of your browser will confirm that you have entered our secure area.

We accept all major credit and debit card payments. These include Maestro, Solo, Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Delta and MasterCard.

All cheque payments are payable to Staggerin’. Please note that mail orders paid for by cheque will not be despatched until the cheque has cleared which can take up to 7 working days.

When will I get my order?
If you need your products by a specified date, please tell us when placing your order. We endeavour to despatch all non Special Item orders within 1–3 days but please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.
Special Order items will have individual delivery times listed within the “More Info” of each product. As a rule of thumb, items with “R” prefix product codes (e.g. R15915) will be despatched within 10 working days and items with “F” prefix product codes (e.g. F203278) will take up to 21 days. All other items will be despatched within the standard 1-3 days as quoted above.
If for any reason, we cannot supply items within the specified delivery time, we will inform you of an equivalent product which is available immediately and the expected delivery date of the original item. Split orders will only be charged for one delivery (if applicable). You have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to despatch with no obligation.

Seasonal delivery
With Halloween becoming ever more popular, many of the character and higher quality costumes sell out fast. If you are caught last minute, drop our team an email to see what is still available – with clever accessorising, you can achieve a really unique costume that no one will have.

But as ever, the main advice is to order early to avoid disappointment. As a guide, when you hear that Royal Mail is struggling with volumes & delivery, we will be too! Christmas order cut off will be posted here later in the year.

How much does delivery cost?
UK Delivery Is FREE! Our free UK delivery is valid for any size order however large or small, to any UK postcode including Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and all BFPO addresses.
We usually use Royal Mail 1st Class Service for all “free delivery” orders although some large or bulk orders may be sent via an independent carrier or Royal Mail Parcel Service (Parcelforce) at no charge.
Additional delivery options are available at checkout if Royal Mail 1st Class is unsuitable or if your requirement is urgent.
BFPO: British Forces Post Office Deliveries
We extend our FREE delivery to HM services BFPO addresses. All parcels to BFPO addresses are delivered to Mill Hill in London before worldwide distribution and our delivery timescale guarantees are to this point only as the BFPO network does not hold any Royal Mail scanning equipment.

FREE UK Delivery
Despatch usually within 1 – 3 Days depending on demand. “Special Order” items may have a longer despatch time - please see individual items for delivery times.
Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days from point of despatch.

PRIORITY DESPATCH - Jump the Queue! £3 charge.
Please note that this is not a next day delivery service...

Your order will be given priority treatment by paying this extra fee. Provided we have received your order on-line before 12 Noon (Mon-Fri) it will leave us the next working day. If you order at the weekend your order will still be given priority treatment, but depending on demand, it may not be despatched until Tuesday.

Please be aware that unless a “Special Order” item is physically in stock in our warehouse, priority despatch will NOT speed up the despatch, each item has an individual delivery time listed within its “More Info” box.

Last minute invite? What! The party is this weekend!?! Catching a plane?... Whatever the reason, if you need the fastest of all services, this one is for you.
The Staggerin’ Guaranteed 48 Hour Delivery uses the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service, which guarantees next day delivery of your order.
To apply for this service, orders with must be placed online before noon.

Our Earlybird delivery service proves popular with those working 9-5 weekdays. As both our 48 hour delivery services require a signature, the Earlybird option better suits households with no one around during the day. With any luck, you can sign for the delivery and not even be late for work!

Non UK Orders
All orders outside the UK will be sent via Royal Mail Airmail International Signed For or Parcelforce Worldwide. Postage for International orders will be charged at cost and Royal Mail International Rates can be found on the www.royalmail.com website. We will in all cases, work out the most cost effective way of sending your parcel.
As a rough guide an average costume weighs approximately 400g-750g, but please contact us if you wish us to confirm the exact price or wish to place a bulk order. We will automatically confirm delivery details via email if this charge is greater than £20.

Can I put products on back-order?
From time to time we do run out of stock lines. If a product that you require isn’t available immediately, we will inform you via e-mail or phone. If you wish to put the item(s) on back-order you may.

Substitution
Staggerin’ reserve the right to substitute your product with a similar choice if your chosen product is out of stock. Where time allows before despatch, we will contact you by email or by phone to give you the option of cancelling the order or accepting the substituted goods.

I can’t find what I’m looking for.
Try using one of our search tools.
A-Z Search: Choose the initial letter from the top A-Z bar for the theme, costume or accessory you are looking for. For example, clicking on “P” for “Pirate” will result in “Punk Wigs” as well as “Pirate Costume” and “Pirate Cutlass”.
Search Box: Type a full or part word of the theme, costume or accessory you are looking for into the search box and click on “Go” or press return. The exact, similar and related products will then be displayed. For your convenience, our search recognises part words so before you think we’re going mad, the word “ears” will also find several “bears”!
Please use the contact us button on the left hand bar if you have any problems finding what you want. We have access to many more items that are not displayed on-line and our team will be very happy to help you.

Can I return goods?
In-Store: We offer a no quibble 30 day money back policy. This returns policy applies to all goods purchased in our retail stores with the exception of wigs (this is due to hygiene and quality control). All items returned must have a valid receipt as proof of purchase. Customer returning items after 30 days may receive a credit note subject to the item(s) being returned or period of time over the permitted 30 days.

On-line: Our returns policy is simple! We have a no quibbles returns policy on-line which means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, i.e. the item you have ordered is unsuitable, faulty or you’ve simply changed your mind, can return it. Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 No. 2334), the customer has a 7 day “cooling off” period from receipt of goods to cancel the order and claim a refund. The customer must return the item(s) to us unused and in original condition within 30 days for a prompt replacement, exchange or refund. Wigs cannot be returned for a full refund. Please speak with our team as we may be able to offer a credit note.

How do I return an item on-line?
Simply email us at dispatch@staggerin.com and one of the Staggerin Team will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number that will enable us to process your return quickly and efficiently. You must obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (within 7 days of receipt) before sending anything back to us or we will not be able to process your return. You will need to include this returns number with your parcel, failure to do so may result in delay of any refund.

Returned Items lost in transit:
We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit. As you are responsible for returning the item(s) to us we recommend sending the package by Royal Mail and obtaining a free “certificate of posting”. For greater peace of mind, send your parcel via a Recorded/Special Delivery service.

We ask customers returning goods to additionally note
• All item(s) returned must be received back in its original packing, “as new” condition and suitable for resale. All original packaging should accompany any returned item including the cardboard insert. Costumes are not typically packaged in sealed bags and you can try them on. All items will be inspected upon their return to our warehouse.
• We are a retailer, so product and packaging must be returned in the same condition as you received it and how you may expect to receive it. If the product or packaging is in any way missing or damaged we refuse the right to refund and will return the item back to you. Unsatisfactory returns will be dealt with on an individual basis.
• We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit. As you and/or your carrier are responsible for returning the item(s) to us, we recommend sending the package by Royal Mail and obtaining a free“certificate of posting” or for greater peace of mind sending your parcel via a Recorded/Special Delivery service.
• We process all refunds within 30 calendar days, however 95% of refund transactions take place within the first 7 days. Please note that we will not be held liable for any interest payment that you may incur because any refund was made outside of your credit/debit card timescales.
• Should any product be faulty, you should inform us immediately and we will happily refund or exchange it for you. Please email us at dispatch@staggerin.com within 7 days from the date of delivery, or where this was not apparent on reasonable inspection (i.e. not inspected as it was given as a gift) within 7 days after discovery or 30 calendar days after delivery, whichever the earlier.
• In the event of Staggerin’ sending you a replacement for a damaged, defective or wrong item, you must return the item to Staggerin within 30 days. Staggerin’ reserves the right to charge the price of the replacement item to the payment card used for the original order if you do not return the original item to us within 30 days of the date on which Staggerin confirms we will issue a replacement.

What sizes do your costumes fit?
We have many international suppliers, and as with high street shops, each has slightly different size choices. Every costume listed on the website has individual sizing within the “More Info” box. All sizes stated are manufacturer’s recommendations although where possible we will note if feedback leads us to believe costumes come up larger or smaller than expected.

The costume manufacturers state that all “One Size” costumes fit up to a dress size 14. Please note that the “PVC” costumes do not stretch and from customer feedback come up small. On the other hand, one-size “Gown” styles or unisex outfits will allow for larger sizes than the stated dress size 14.
As a rule of thumb, costumes with a belt tend to fit the larger sizes and often can be worn as a “shirt” without the belt. You can always team it with a smart pair of trousers or a skirt – something we’ve seen work well with many of the “sexy” range.

Privacy is a real concern for us at staggerin.com. We will not send unsolicited e-mails or use any other form of communication to reach you unless you have explicitly given us permission to do so.
If you do register – Don’t worry, we won’t inundate you with millions of e-mails, and won’t pass on your details to anyone else either. (In accordance with the Privacy & Electronic Communications Act passed into law 11 Dec 03) - “We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).”
We may have to disclose some of your information to service suppliers to help complete your order. These parties include Royal Mail, ParcelForce and other carriers.
