Whether you are throwing a fancy dress party or have been invited to one, choosing a theme or a costume can sometimes be a bit of a problem with so many to choose from!

Here are a few ideas to help you out. This isn't an exhaustive list by any stretch of the imagination! Come and see us at one of our shops and speak to one of our helpful members of staff for more ideas and to see the lists of costumes for specific themes we are always putting together.

Superheroes: An old favourite but always good fun. We stock most of the comic book favourites such as Superman, Batman, Batgirl and Wonder Woman but also have some more obscure ones if you want to go for something a bit different! Buzz Lightyear, Wolverine, Ironman and even Scooby Doo or Pink Panther all prove popular - you can even go for Austin Powers or Felicity Shagwell.

60's/70's/80's: We have a massive range of 60's and 70's costumes for hire, ranging from flower power dresses, shirts and suits to Huggy Bear style pimp suits and Starsky and Hutch style 70's cop sets including wig, shades, shoulder holster and gun. For the 80's we have a wide range of wigs including Pat "Fun House" Sharpe style mullets, Jason Donovan style mullets and womens wigs suitable for Kim Wilde, Tina Turner and Sam Fox. We also have licensed Bananaman, Danger Mouse and Penfold costumes so you can become your childhood cartoon heroes! We also have some great punk wigs, accessories and costumes in case you threw out all your old clobber and want to become a punk again for the night!

Emergency Services: Another common theme but no less fun! We have all the usual suspects such as police, fire service and doctors but you can also go as a soldier or naval officer. And for the girls we have some naughtier costumes so you can look great, feel great and be the centre of attention all night!

Ancient Egypt/Rome/Greece: We have some great Cleopatra costumes and wigs and a variety of ancient Greek and Roman costumes to choose from.

Fairytale: There are several fairytale costumes in the Fever range we stock such as Snow White, Queen of Hearts, Alice In Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood. We also have a couple of costumes suitable for a Prince Charming and a Shrek costume if you fancy going for a modern fairytale.

Wild West: We stock a variety of cowboy costumes for men and also several cowgirl costumes for hire or purchase. We also have some great accessories such as hats, guns, spurs and neckerchiefs if you want to put your own costume together.

Pirates: Some of the best costumes we stock are our pirate costumes. Why not hire one of the various costumes we have that are suitable for Captain Jack Sparrow including the official Disney costume. You could even go for Captain Hook! We also have some great pirate queen and pirate wench costumes for the girls. We also have loads of accessories including bandanas, swords, pistols and eyepatches.

Historical: We have some great historical costumes including a fantastic St George costume to hire. You can go for a medieval look with our King and Queen costumes or even go as a peasant or knight. We also stock Napoleon, Musketeer and Admiral Nelson costumes if thats what takes your fancy.

Celebrities: Whether its a legend such as Elvis or Marilyn Monroe or recent celebs we have some great wigs and costumes. You can go for costumes from are synonymous with particlar celebrities such as our aviator costume for Tom Cruise from his role in the film Top Gun.
